I am interested in the area of pure mathematics which concerns the intersection and interconnection between topological dynamical systems and operator algebras. I study symbolic dynamical systems, how they are encoded into C*-algebras, and how much dynamical stucture is remembered or lost in this encoding. Using operator algebraic tools, this allows us to derive interesting properties of the original systems.
I am a postdoctoral researcher in mathematics based at the University of Glasgow (Scotland) with Xin Li as my host. This is funded by an International postdoctoral grant from the Independent Research Fund Denmark.
Previously, I was a postdoc at University of Glasgow and at the University of Wollongong (Australia) with Aidan Sims as my host. This was funded by a Carlsberg Foundation Internationalisation Fellowship (Feb 2020 - Feb 2022). I obtained my PhD in 2019 from the University of Copenhagen as a member of the Centre for Symmetry and Deformation under the supervision of Søren Eilers.
